Verb Drills:
Are you tired of struggling with verb endings?
Are you annoyed to take so long before the right verb ending comes to your head in common verbs?
Do not worry, that is completely normal. You are not the only one! It is one of the hardest parts of learning Spanish.
That is why I created Spanish Verb Drills, so that you can practise the 7 essential verbs (ser, estar, hacer, tener, poder, querer and pedir) step by step at your pace. You can now master them with this course, whenever it is convenient for you.
You have three levels of difficulty. Select the most appropriate for you following the criteria:
Beginner
Tenses covered: present, preterite, imperfect, simple future and conditional.
Advised for: A2 learners, Year 9 students aiming to do Higher GCSE in the coming years, Year 10 and 11 students aiming to do Foundation GCSE.
Intermediate
Tenses covered: all the simple tenses, present perfect and pluperfect. Also, present and imperfect of subjunctive.
Advised for: B1 and B2 learners, Year 10 and 11 students aiming for Higher GCSE, AS Level students who need to consolidate endings.
Advanced
Tenses covered: simple and perfect tenses of indicative and subjunctive. Also, you will drill the imperative.
Advised for: C1 and C2 learners, AS Level students with a strong knowledge of verb endings aiming to progress quickly, A Level students.
These Verb Drills are not magical: you need to make an effort (a big effort indeed) because verbs are difficult in Spanish, as you know. However, your brain will learn the patterns and endings quickly with these drills.
WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE:
- Drill the 7 essential verbs (ser, estar, hacer, tener, poder, querer and pedir) in depth with a wide range of activities, using different skills.
- It always follows the same structure to facilitate learning: each video starts with the conjugation of the 'Verb of the Week'. After that, you will warm up with a match up activity of that verb, followed by a listening activity. Finally, you will need to translate and write some forms of that verb.
- The course is ideally designed to drill one verb a week, but you can select your pace after the first edition. The content will be dripped weekly for the first edition.
- At the end of the video, you will find out the verb to be conjugated in the next video. Therefore, you can learn it in advanced if you prefer.
- You will have an optional self-assessment to complete after each video. It is a quiz. It is just for you to know what went well and what you need to practise a bit more.
- This structure is based on ‘Microlearning’, a theory that aims to keep it simple and short to reduce your brain fatigue and maximise your productivity.
- You will have unlimited access to this course: no rush, no time-limit. The aim is that you learn these verbs and practise them as much as you want whenever it is convenient for you.
- BONUS: book before the 12th December 2025, you will receive an extra high frequency verb for free! - FINISHED!
- If you have any questions, you can always email me or write to 'Contact Us' and I will help you. You will not be alone in this process. I am here to support you when you need it.
